She writes and hikes in the mornings with her two rescue mutts. She works the swing shift as a train dispatcher, drinks a lot of coffee, wears trucker hats and uses foul language.
She writes CNF, Fiction, Hybrid and Poetry. Some straight forward, some out in the weeds. Lots of words about her hometown and state. This is mostly due to the fact that she has moved away then back to it so many times. She is back to stay. She means it. Her work almost always contains music. She has a large eclectic collection of digital downloads, CDs, cassette tapes and vinyl. Okay, she may be an addict. She dreamed of being a songwriter once. She also thought she might play in the WNBA. She is 5'2.
She is married to her partner of 26 years. She identifies as queer but believes that this is just a fraction of the whole. She's mostly a puzzle jumble of pieces that almost fit.
Her work has been featured in X-R-A-Y Lit, Hypnopomp, Image OutWrite and Memoir Mixtapes as well as others forthcoming. She was a finalist in the Glimmer Train Short Story Competiton. She is working on another draft of her first novel and an essay collection.
