Ezekiel Levon Cork-Writer
About
Ezekiel Levon Cork aka Zeke is a trans writer who lives in Missoula, Montana with his wife the writer Kathryn McMahon and their two rescue mutts.
He is a first reader for Forge Literary. He loves to hike the local trails, works as a train dispatcher, drinks a lot of coffee, wears trucker hats and uses foul language.
He writes CNF, Fiction, Hybrid and Poetry. Some straight forward, some out in the weeds. He writes about identity, queer shit, his hometown and state. This is mostly due to the fact that he has moved away then back to it so many times. He is back to stay. He means it this time. He has been sober for over 30 years.
His work almost always contains music. He has a large eclectic collection of digital downloads, CDs, cassette tapes and vinyl. Okay, he may be an addict. He dreamed of being a songwriter once. He also wanted to play professional basketball but is only 5'2".
He identifies as queer but believes that this is just a fraction of the whole. He's mostly a puzzle jumble of pieces that almost fit.
His work has been nominated for Best of the Net and featured in Savant-Garde, Hobart,Pidgeonholes, Rejection Letters Lit, Bending Genres, X-R-A-Y Lit, Hypnopomp, Image OutWrite, Memoir Mixtapes, Homology Lit, Pussy Magic, MITA, Bone & Ink Press Springsteen Anthology: Shut Down Strangers and Hot Rod Angels as well as others forthcoming. He was a finalist in the Glimmer Train Short Story Competition. He is working on another draft of his first novel and a memoir.
